Painting Tiles

Guess what?  We had  art week when we never expected it.  You won’t guess what we did? Painting tiles!

My favourite bit was doing the out-line with the out-liner.  We used little stencils.

I hope you enjoy our tiles as much as we enjoyed making them.

Our Underwater Tiles.

In arts-week Kennick painted tiles with fish on.  We had to use special paints because the tiles were slippery.  We had a choice of gold, silver or grey out-liner, then when it was dry we painted in-between the lines.  It was great fun.

Tile painting

In arts’ week we designed tiles as a sea theme.  First we designed our tile in our books.  Then we then we drew round the stencils and thinly outlined it with outliner. When it was dry we painted it with ink.

Sports Day

On the 6th of June Christow Primary School went down to the village hall and enjoyed sports day and had lots of fun.  The reason we do sports day is because it gives us a chance to communicate and mix with other year groups but its also fun!  At the beginning we just did a couple of games like sack racing and  throwing the bean bag  and then we went on to proper races like skipping races and 3 legged races and dressing up.

I was in the yr 4 skipping race and I came 2nd out of 4 people and  and so I was impressed with myself.

I was in the Tornadoes (blues)  but the Whirlwinds (greens) won.  I was a bit disappointed but I have to admit the Whirlwinds were very good.

Year 4 Running Race

On the 6th of June sports day kicked off.  At the end of the group activities was the year four running race.  It was so unfortunate that I was put up against one of my best friends!Every second my heart beat faster, until…….we were off!   Zooming down the community field, my friend and I were neck and neck.  As soon as we passed the other two people, there was the finish line.  And the winner was……..both of us!

Christow School

The school is a place to be

Well that’s what it feels like to me.

At play time there is fun everywhere

Over here and over there.

Well that’s what it feels like to me.

In lunch it’s the time to be

Where you sit and enjoy your lunch and chat quietly

Well that’s what it feels like to me.

At the end of the day

We had lots of the fun

Well that’s what it feels like to me.

Our Big Bug

In DT we’re making a huge bug to go in our  schoolgrounds. He’s purple, black legs, red socks with yellow spots.
