the fishy week

In Bowden we have been to Plymouth aquarium.

Do you know some sharks  don’t like the dark?

The school made so many fish.

The hall is full of work - come and see it!

This week has been fishy

In Christow school we have had a fishy week this year for art week .

We have made many of things such as wire fish and collages and lots more.

We went to Plymouth aquarium for inspiration for art week.  The best thing were the sharks, they were swimming really fast .

If you were a shark how fast would go?

We looked at amazing coloured fish - all different shapes and sizes .

we are having a show so our parents can see our work.

I have enjoyed this week and I can’t wait till next year.

I wonder what next year’s theme will be?

the fishy theme

We, as a school, have been to Plymouth aquarium to get a good idea of fish for arts week. We have been drawing, painting and making fish, shacks and turtles.  We painted a baby giant squid 13 meters long.  Today we are having a showcase.

Look at our colourful  animals.

Going to the Aquarium.

Our school, as part of art week, set up a whole school trip to the Aquarium in Plymouth. Most children thought that the sharks were the best bit and many took to drawing them. There was also a turtle with only 40% of its eyesight.

It was amazing!

Painting Tiles

Guess what?  We had  art week when we never expected it.  You won’t guess what we did? Painting tiles!

My favourite bit was doing the out-line with the out-liner.  We used little stencils.

I hope you enjoy our tiles as much as we enjoyed making them.

Our Underwater Tiles.

In arts-week Kennick painted tiles with fish on.  We had to use special paints because the tiles were slippery.  We had a choice of gold, silver or grey out-liner, then when it was dry we painted in-between the lines.  It was great fun.

Tile painting

In arts’ week we designed tiles as a sea theme.  First we designed our tile in our books.  Then we then we drew round the stencils and thinly outlined it with outliner. When it was dry we painted it with ink.

WE LOVE ARTS’ WEEK
